The Mist

The Mist has one of the most crushing endings I have ever seen in a movie. That final scene completely blindsided me and the way it flips everything you thought was hope into pure despair is unforgettable. It is rare for a film to leave you feeling so hopeless and shattered and I think that is what makes the ending so powerful. For those who have seen it how did that conclusion hit you? Do you think it was the right choice for the story or too dark?
