Anyone around during the prerelease of the dark knight? It seems most of these pre release previews before other movies were lost to time, any memories?

I remember going to see dream catcher in theatres purely to see the Animatrix film before hand.

But I also grew up in Knoxville which was the headquarters for regal in the early 2000’s. So I don’t know how much was exclusive to us. Because of regal being centered there we had a funscape and one of the first imax’s. I remember meeting Johnny Knoxville and Jessica Simpson at the opening of the imax theatre in Knoxville, but then after that there were tons of previews.

Like we would go see a movie because we were promised the opening of the dark knight before the film. I can’t remember what movie. But it happened a lot.

Anyone from Knoxville with a better memory than me or was this more common back in the day across the USA?
