Absolutely love this movie! Stellar cast! Likely in my top 10. Imo one of those movie that is a classic with any remake being DOA. The film sets the stage quite perfectly with its austere cinematography depicting that era. Beatty and Dunaway give a peak performance. I’ll have to google to see what cinematic awards this movie received? That ending is climatic cinematic gold! And Beatty cast against type proclaiming “He ain’t no lover boy.” 😛 Great movie!
