Recently gave this a rewatch and while I remember it being funny, and it still very much is, the dialogue hits differently now that I’m of similar age to the male leads in the movie.
The chemistry between the three leads feels lived in, and I truly believed these guys have basically known each other their whole lives. The scene where they each tell the story of their best and worst day makes you lean in, and Bruno Kirby’s punctuation on it couldn’t have been any better.
The score and cinematography are also top notch. They really lean into the old Western feel with the soundtrack and it’s quite memorable.
Bonus points if you spot Jake Gyllenhaal in his first role. submitted by /u/fuzzy_dice_99
