I’m watching Blood In, Blood Out: Bound By Honor on Disney Plus, which is a mind blowing thing to say or type in a single sentence.
I grew up to this movie and related to Milko in the film. I was the light skin a Mexican family. “Brown in the inside,” I always said to my friends. It’s the way of life and how I feel. My white daddy bailed out on day 1. I was raised with that tradition and neighborhoods that followed it. I did not serve time until I was in my thirties, though.
I was way too young to see Big Al in action, but Montana at the end still gets to me this day. It’s a family movie to me. Might be pretty mess up but we all quote it everyday.
How do you feel about this film? What lesson sticks out the most to you? What are some scenes are remarkable and memorable?
