I've noticed recently that movies with popular actors tend to ruin a movie because it can be hard to look beyond them. Like, "that's Brad Pitt," or "that's Matt Damon." And you don't really see them as the character but rather as Matt Damon portraying a character. And yes, I know that's what acting is, but when it's a lesser known actor you're not distracted by who they are and can more easily associate them with the character in the movie that they're portraying.
