Was I the only one mentally traumatized by Land Before Time?

I rewatched it as an adult recently. It was just as traumatizing and I see why as a child I tried to not watch it a second time. I mean this was a kid’s movie and there was: mother dying on screen and trying to explain death to her son, Littlefoot thought his mother was back when he sees his shadow but we know it’s his shadow, fake out death with a character, and as an adult I notice Littlefoot is actually going through all the stages of grief.
