The Deliverance by Lee Daniels

I thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish, the tropes, the lines, the camp, hated that they worked in McDonalds, and that’s about it.

It was like a black version of the Exorcist, with some Stigmata thrown in.

Glenn Close delivering some lines I thought I’d never hear her say. The score was great, the acting was phenomenal event from the non main characters, like the nurse at the desk, “I’m fuckin going back in there” and gives the side eye.

I don’t know that I’ve seen one of her movies before but I’m going to have to check them out.
