Glengarry Glen Ross

The movie clearly stands on it's own merit as some of the best acting of all time. I think I can relate to it so much because I've worked in sales for the past three years. I know people that are just like Shelley, Moss, Aaronow, etc 😂

I didn't go super deep with an analysis, I'm mainly just here to praise the film. This is how I perceive the characters after watches throughout the years.

You have people like Roma, the top performer, who are straight up apex predators - they can smell blood on you before even entering the room. Although unethical I think every salesperson low-key wishes they could close like Rick. He knows he's untouchable because he has the numbers.

Shelley has been doing it the longest and has the most life experience. He's no spring chicken but still has fire in him to close by any means necessary.

Moss is the guy who writes everything off as luck and is always looking for ways to cut the corner. It's almost like he perceives that everything in the world is happening to him 😂 He's so full of resentment that he can't even be happy for Shelley.

Williamson is the company man who only sees results and nothing more. His strength is in the power of saying NO and denying others. He isn't even a salesperson and has not earned the respect of the team.

Aaronow is the victim who will sit quietly and take it lying down. Instead of looking for ways to improve it's easier for him to just say "Well I guess that's life"

Anyway, pick up the FKING chalk and get me on the board! submitted by /u/gilette_bayonete
