Saw North by Northwest in theatre today. Never seen before.
Because this is a new 65th anniversary restoration there was a short film before the movie where TCM's Ben Mankiewicz introduced the movie and then.........
......proceeded to spoil every single aspect of the plot, everything. He explained who are the good guys, who are the bad guys, what the key scenes are, what parts are important, who is a spy.... everything.
Several people in the theatre, including me, literally shouted "spoiler!" at the screen in baffled frustration.
Usually I wouldn't expect spoiler respect for a 65 year old movie but to put it literally before a screening?! submitted by /u/iDontRememberCorn
